Absences pour Raisons Sportives (ARS)
Absences for sporting reasons (ARS) are one of the specific features of Sportlycée. All ARS (competitions and courses) during the school term are coordinated by the lycée, in close consultation with the sports federation and the parents. The federations provide the ARS department with their sports programme and any foreseeable absences.
However, this privilege, which presupposes greater organisation and autonomy on the part of the pupil, is linked to the condition of good behaviour and academic commitment.
The involvement of student athletes in sporting competitions and their preparation regularly involve absence from school. The Absence for Sport Service (ARS) offers to take charge of the pupil concerned.
